Acutis House Liturgy

On Wednesday 21st October, the students of Acutis House gathered together in the Chapel for their turn of the Liturgy of the Word and Holy Communion service. It was a great opportunity to gather together in celebration of their patron, St Carlo Acutis' life. Students beautifully led readings, prayers and a wonderful reflection by Hailey Zhao about the Gospel's call for us to stay connected to the True Vine, loving God and loving others above all other things. We then shared in the Eucharistic meal, as we consumed the Body of Christ together.

"As members of Acutis House, we can learn from our House Patron, Carlo Acutis, whose life was a testimony of staying close to Jesus, the True Vine. He had a particularly strong devotion to the Eucharist, and famously said, “The more Eucharist we receive, the more we will become like Jesus, so that on earth we will have a foretaste of heaven,” and “By standing before the Eucharistic Christ, we become holy.” Let us think about ways we can draw closer to Christ in the Eucharist, to become more like our patron, who truly understood what union with Jesus meant, at such a young age." - Hailey Zhao, Year 11.

St Carlo Acutis is an inspiration for all young teenagers to aspire for sainthood, recognising that God can use every part of our lives to bring glory to Him and also others to Himself.

St Carlo Acutis... pray for us!
